Reintroduction of the Next Best Thing

Name: Praise Adejoh
Date Of Birth: March 8th, 198*
Place Of Birth: Lagos, Nigeria; Raised in: Kaduna, Nigeria

After growing up in a musical environment, surrounded by instruments and siblings as enthusiastic about music as he is, it was just a matter of time before Praise Adejoh (Praiz) made it from our days of late night studio sessions, fried yam and “mineral” in between recording sessions inside that cramped studio tucked in one obscure corner of a small shopping complex in sleepy KD; to superstar status, getting mobbed by a couple hundred Unilag females at a recent show (fine boy no easy), recording contracts being shoved in his face like microphones at a press conference and having to ALWAYS appear offline while chatting. His elevation to sucess was firmly bouyed by his participation that the recent Project Fame West Africa where he walked out third place with a fully loaded Toyota Yaris and 1 million Naira in prize money.

His smooth John Legend-esque crooning is reminiscent of the Sinatra era, wooing (mainly female) crowds, to the slight envy of the common man and providing the Nigerian music environment with a much needed soul. Shout out to Dare Art-Alade, another product of Project Fame, we still love you.

At the moment, Praiz is currently working on his first official album and has a plethora of singles in circulation. He also has a number of collaborations including the original voice behind the Candlelight single, a position recently taken taken over by Mo, A.K.A. His Flyness. Note that name, you’re going to be hearing a lot more about him.

In a nutshell, Praise Adejoh is the soul of the Nigerian music scene and the new face of R&B and we hope you are as enthusiastic about hearing more from him as we are of presenting him to you, now and in the near future.
