Nigeria/ Kenya 2010 World Cup Qualifier Highlights
Yesterday at about 2PM Eastern Time, the Nigerian Super Eagles took a step closer towards qualifying for the 2010 world cup being hosted by South Africa. They defeated the Kenyan National Team by 3 goals to nothing in the 90 minutes duration of the match. The first goal came at the 2nd min of the gameĀ from an up-and-coming star by the name of Ikechukwu Uche who plays his football in the La Liga of Spain for Getafe. The other goals came from Kalu Uche in the 73rd min and from Nsofor Obinna in the 78th min.
With this, the Super Eagles have 4 points from 2 games and are placed 2nd on the table with 4 more games to go.
The next match is against table leaders Tunisia, who have 6 points from their 2 games, to be held on the 20th of June. A win for the Super Eagles would put them at the top while a loss or draw would make the road to the 2010 World Cup pretty steep.
