Wale! – Ottawa Show

The last weekend of February, 2010 was filled with all sorts of events, but a particular event brought out many fans of Hip-Hop artist, Wale.

Wale is a talented rapper with a unique style that his fans love. The concert took place at Rituals Night Club, downtown Ottawa, on the 27th of February.

At exactly 10pm, TIME Visions team got a backstage pass into the concert, where many Wale fans were waiting expectedly to see the rapper perform live on stage. Before Wale came on stage, a local rapper performed to cheer and warm up the crowd before Wale got on stage.

As Wale’s DJ (DJ Omega) came on to warm up the crowd for like 10mins, (with everyone screaming WALE! WALE! WALE! WALE!), from right behind the stage, Wale came out with a huge hype that drove everyone crazy.

Wale performed for about 30-45mins with everyone reciting his lyrics with him.
There were female fans screaming “Wale!, Wale!, Wale!” as he performed 4-6 songs, the crowd visibly excited about Wale being on stage.

To end his performance, Wale performed his most popular song, “Chillin” which features Lady Gaga.

TIME Visions team went back stage with Wale where there were tons of female fans running after the rapper for a brief photograph and autograph session.

First and foremost, before I go on,I’d like to commend T.I.M.E.Entertainment, DAMARIYO GROUP and their representatives for the timely manner in which they informed us about the unfortunate postponement of the Louis XIII Party and Press Conference/ Autograph Signing Session. (See Press Release below)
That is an initiative that shows they are more dedicated to providing quality entertainment, not just for profitable endeavours.
Further more, I have been assured that despite the delay, the show WILL go on, so with that in mind, we look forward to when M.I. and the rest of the artists show up for the event in the next couple weeks, courtesy of TIME ENTERTAINMENT and DAMARIYO GROUP.

In other news, the Louis XIII Pre-Launch party was held at the Naija Banquet Hall, 800 Arrow Rd, Toronto on the 13th of June.
Even though a lot of people were turned off the pre-party either because the artists were not present or because they did not know it was being held, it gave a fair indication that the Louis XIII Party is headed to be a guaranteed success.
The music (shout out to DJ Chiggzy right here) was squarely on point, from the beginning, right down to the very end; the drinks were VERY well priced; and from a guys perspective, the ladies looked amazing. What more could you want from a party?

Public Service Announcement: Press Conference Date Changed

This is to kindly inform each media house and Nigerian Students Associations that were invited for the Press Conference with M.I (Mr Incredible) at York University, Toronto on June 12 2009, that the event has been cancelled and will no longer be holding on June 12 as earlier arranged. Due to Immigration

delays which M.I’s work permit visa is due to be collected from the Canadian Immigration in 2 weeks time, this delay is the reason why the Press Conference date has been changed.
This information is to inform you that the Press Conference new date will be sent out to everyone very soon.

This is to clearly state that the Nigerian Hip Hop Star WAS NOT refused/denied visa entry in to the country and he is still going to perform in Canada at the LOUIS XIII Party, the due date will be announced shortly.

We kindly apologize for the inconvenience and will update everyone on the proceedings of the Press Conference and M.I’s arrival to CANADA.

Nigeria/ Kenya 2010 World Cup Qualifier Highlights

Yesterday at about 2PM Eastern Time, the Nigerian Super Eagles took a step closer towards qualifying for the 2010 world cup being hosted by South Africa. They defeated the Kenyan National Team by 3 goals to nothing in the 90 minutes duration of the match. The first goal came at the 2nd min of the game from an up-and-coming star by the name of Ikechukwu Uche who plays his football in the La Liga of Spain for Getafe. The other goals came from Kalu Uche in the 73rd min and from Nsofor Obinna in the 78th min.
With this, the Super Eagles have 4 points from 2 games and are placed 2nd on the table with 4 more games to go.

The next match is against table leaders Tunisia, who have 6 points from their 2 games, to be held on the 20th of June. A win for the Super Eagles would put them at the top while a loss or draw would make the road to the 2010 World Cup pretty steep.
